International Cooperation - Meeting with the Minister of National Construction of Antigua and Barbuda

In June 2024, Mr. Jiang Tao, the General Manager of Apex (Beijing) Integrated Housing Co., Ltd., along with other senior executives from the company, met with Clement Antonio, Minister of National Construction and Director of Planning for Antigua and Barbuda, and his delegation.

    The two parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on the development trends of the building materials industry and prefabricated construction. They focused on the industrial advantages of the China Building Materials Market Association in promoting prefabricated construction in the Caribbean region, as well as how international cooperation can enhance the green, low-carbon, and sustainable development of prefabricated construction.

    During the meeting, both parties expressed their intention to engage in deep cooperation in the building materials sector. Antigua and Barbuda hopes to draw on China's advanced experience and technological advantages in the field of prefabricated construction to develop a building materials development plan suited to its own national conditions. Both parties also reached a consensus on establishing a mutual recognition mechanism for building materials standards and certification between China and Antigua, aiming to promote the coordinated development of the building materials industries in both countries.

    The parties have reached a cooperative intention regarding the upcoming 2,000-unit affordable housing project in Antigua and Barbuda. Apex will leverage its strengths to provide technical support and share expertise for this project, contributing to the improvement of living conditions in Antigua and Barbuda.
