Clement Antonio, Newly Appointed Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to China, Conducts Industrial Inspection in Tangshan, Hebei Province

From August 7 to 9, 2026, at the invitation of Liu Ye, Vice President of the China Building Materials Market Association and Chairman of Summit Global Group, Clement Antonio, newly appointed Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to China, paid a special industrial visit to Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Mark Weber, Diplomat of the Embassy of Antigua and Barbuda in China, joined the delegation.Gai Qiuchen, Zhang Teng and Wang Hongxiang accompanied and participated in the entire inspection and docking work.

During the inspection, the Ambassador’s delegation went deep into the production lines of key manufacturing enterprises, including Haitai New Energy PV, OEM mattress manufacturers, and Chengdong space capsule modular housing factories. The delegation conducted on-site investigations into the production capacity scale, core technologies, product pricing systems and domestic and overseas market layout of the enterprises. Ambassador Antonio spoke highly of the mature large-scale production system, superior cost performance and strong core market competitiveness of Tangshan’s manufacturing industry.

Centering on Summit Global Group as the core cooperation bridge, this inspection successfully built an economic and trade investment connection platform between Antigua and Barbuda and high-quality manufacturing enterprises in Tangshan. Going forward, all parties will further deepen communication and negotiations to steadily advance the implementation of various cooperation projects. Focusing on high-quality products and integrated solutions in the fields of new energy, modular construction and home furnishing supporting facilities, the cooperation will help improve people’s livelihood infrastructure in Antigua and Barbuda and fully empower the high-quality and sustainable economic and social development of the local region.
