APEX and CBMA Attend Key Housing and Land Planning Briefing in Antigua and Barbuda

On the morning of November 25, at the invitation of the Minister of Construction of Antigua and Barbuda, Liu Ye, Vice President of the China Building Materials Market Association (CBMA) and Chairman of Apex Universal Group Limited (APEX), attended a housing and land planning briefing organized by the Town and Country Planning Division of Antigua and Barbuda. Liu was accompanied by Shang Yang, Director of the CBMA Industry Development Department, Zhang Teng, General Manager of the APEX International Department, and Liu Yuhan, Senior Manager of the APEX International Department, among other representatives.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Town and Country Planning Division of Antigua and Barbuda and other officials involved in land and housing planning. Discussions focused on key topics, including housing construction and building materials in Antigua and Barbuda.

During the meeting, all parties conducted a comprehensive analysis of the current state of housing planning in Antigua and Barbuda. The Planning Division provided an in-depth overview of the country’s housing construction needs and expectations, emphasizing the critical importance of building material selection. The APEX team shared their extensive experience and expertise in housing construction, particularly in the use of innovative integrated housing technologies and high-quality materials. 

Discussions also delved into selecting building materials that align with the local environmental requirements while ensuring the durability and quality of homes. Considering Antigua and Barbuda’s climate, characterized by high temperatures, humidity, and potential hurricane impacts, the focus was placed on materials’ weather resistance and wind resistance. Additionally, the importance of environmentally sustainable materials was highlighted to meet the global trend toward green building practices.

During the meeting, Liu Ye, Chairman of APEX, proposed several practical suggestions, including the introduction of advanced Chinese building materials and construction techniques to improve the efficiency and quality of housing projects. These proposals provided new perspectives and solutions for housing planning in Antigua and Barbuda.
